BIG THEMES, little books

BIG THEMES, little books

Jun 2015 - Jul 2016

For each of the past two summers, we have looked at Big Themes in little books.
In 2015, we tackled the oft-overlooked Minor Prophets of the Old Testament and the challenging questions and significant lessons each book teaches.

In 2016, we are working through the shorter letters of the New Testament and exploring the problems, issues, and theological perspective each of them brings to bear on our lives.

As we begin our Summer Sermon Series exploring the Big Themes in the little books of the New Testment, we start in Titus. Titus was a key resource Paul used to address significant problems in churches. In this letter, Paul exhorts Titus on how to oversee the churches on the island of Crete. Time and time again, we see him emphasize that right doctrine and righteous living are essential marks of good healthy churches. The question is, do we bear those marks ourselves?
